Coastal Vision Medical Group Pioneers SMILE Pro With the VisuMax® 800

Coastal Vision Medical Group in Orange, CA, has successfully performed the first ZEISS SMILE procedures using the VisuMax® 800 laser. This achievement makes Coastal Vision the first practice west of Dallas to offer this revolutionary vision correction technology, now marketed as SMILE Pro.

On May 17, 2024, Dr. Dan B. Tran, the Founder and Medical Director, led the inaugural SMILE Pro procedures. Dr. Tran has been a pioneer in ZEISS SMILE procedures, performing one of the first in the USA over seven years ago. Joining him are corneal specialists Dr. Jimmy Lee and Dr. Amir Marvasti.
