Climate Cardinals Secures Pioneering Funding from Google.org

Climate Cardinals, an innovative youth-led nonprofit, has received a significant financial boost from Google.org, marking it as one of the first youth-led groups to gain such support. This funding aims to empower young individuals actively fighting against climate change, spotlighting their crucial role in the environmental movement.

The organization, established in 2020, transcends language barriers in climate advocacy by translating essential climate data into over 100 languages and is powered by a robust network of 14,000 volunteers. The recent Google.org funding will allow Climate Cardinals to expand its programs, integrate professional roles, and increase its annual translation capacity to approximately one million words in partnership with Translators Without Borders.

Google’s funding is part of their wider initiative to nurture organizations that foster proactive environmental solutions. This support not only recognizes the effectiveness of Climate Cardinals’ approach but also encourages further investment in youth-driven environmental initiatives.
