CIS Secures $40 Million Contract with Kazakhmys in Kazakhstan

CIS has announced securing a three-year contract valued at $40 million with Kazakhmys, the leading copper producer in Kazakhstan. The contract engages CIS to manage 36 kitchens and provide daily catering services to 6,000 individuals in the Zheskazgan region, 700 km from Astana. This new agreement marks a continuation and expansion of CIS's services following a previously successful partnership with Kazakhmys.

The deal not only broadens CIS's operational scope in the region but also necessitates the hiring of over 600 local employees. Operations commenced in early April, and positive impact on CIS’s financial performance is anticipated in the latter half of the fiscal year. Moreover, this deal reinforces CIS's longstanding presence in Kazakhstan, dating back to 1992, strengthening its footing in the Eurasian mining sector.
