Circus Group to Deploy 5,400 Food Production Robots in Beijing Schools

Circus SE, an AI robotics company specializing in autonomous kitchen systems, has signed a preliminary agreement to deploy 5,400 units of its CA-1 food production robot in Beijing educational institutions. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Beijing University Food Raw Material Joint Procurement Centre aims to establish an autonomous food supply network, with potential annual revenue in the low single-digit billion euro range.

This initiative will see CA-1 robots producing up to 4 billion meals annually across 92 institutions. The CA-1 robot is designed to handle ingredient dispensing, cooking, cleaning, and packaging without human intervention, thus minimizing expenses and food waste while maintaining high culinary standards.

The multi-stage agreement includes initial test operations at selected universities, followed by a broader rollout. The partnership may expand nationwide, potentially reaching 4,000 institutions and 60 million students.

The MoU marks Circus SE's entry into the Chinese market and aims to enhance the quality of food services in university canteens through automation and efficiency.
