Cherry SE Completes Sale of Hygiene Peripherals Division

Cherry SE has successfully concluded the sale of its CHERRY hygiene peripherals division, known as Active Key, to Contour Design Inc. This agreement, initially announced on May 8, 2025, marks a significant milestone in Cherry SE's restructuring process. The transaction involves a purchase price of EUR 21 million, comprising a fixed cash component and a variable earn-out arrangement. The initial payment was made upon closing.

Oliver Kaltner, CEO of Cherry SE, noted the divestment as a pivotal step towards securing the company's financial stability through 2027. This transition allows Cherry to focus on core segments such as Gaming, Office, and Industrial solutions, alongside Digital Healthcare. The sale facilitates additional liquidity to propel Cherry's growth strategy.

Active Key, recognized for hygienic input device solutions, will revert to marketing under its own brand name while CHERRY retains rights to its brand. The entire workforce and related assets have been transferred, maintaining operational continuity.
