Charwood Energy Secures New Biomass Boiler Project in France

Charwood Energy, a French firm known for its custom biomass energy solutions, has recently announced a contract for a biomass boiler installation at a sawmill located in Ille-et-Vilaine, France. This strategic move, dated April 4, 2024, solidifies Charwood Energy's position in the biomass sector, focusing on sustainable lumber processing.

The project entails replacing an old heating system at a sawmill in Saint-Sauveur-des-Landes with a new, 900 kW high-performance biomass boiler. The advanced unit will utilize bark and woody material for fuel, embodying Charwood Energy's commitment to sustainable energy solutions. Furthermore, the installation will be updated with electrostatic precipitators to align with regulatory standards on particulate emissions.

Alongside the technical hardware, Charwood Energy has pledged extensive services, including retrofitting and automation enhancements, to ensure the heating system's smooth operation and efficiency. With delivery and billing slated for the 3rd quarter of the year, this initiative marks a significant advancement in the ecological transformation of energy resources within the timber industry.
