Capelli Co-creates the First Drone Innovation Cluster in Brétigny-sur-Orge
The Capelli company, in partnership with IMETIK, won the call for interest to co-create "LAB 217" in Brétigny-sur-Orge. This innovation project targets innovative companies in the NewSpace sector.
Located on the former Base 217, a 295-hectare military wasteland, this reconversion initiative aims to create several thousand jobs around research, innovation and reindustrialization.
LAB 217 will include four independent buildings, offering more than 12,000 m² of suitable work surfaces, with specific infrastructure for the drone sector. This campus is aimed at both start-ups and recognized industrialists.
To date, more than 8,000 m² have already been reserved by numerous players in the drone and aeronautics sector. The building permit will be submitted on June 27, with the site opening scheduled for January 2025 and completion in June 2026.
