Cameron Ashley Acquires Appalachian Insulation Supply, Expanding Product Offering and Eastern US Footprint

Pacific Avenue's subsidiary, Cameron Ashley Building Products, has announced the strategic acquisition of Appalachian Insulation Supply (AIS), a premier distributor of Johns Manville insulation products. AIS, headquartered in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, operates nine warehouses across high-growth markets in the Eastern United States, catering to a diverse clientele including builders, insulation contractors, and distributors. This acquisition consolidates Cameron Ashley's position as a leading distributor of insulation products nationwide.

Barry Brinser, President of AIS, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership with Cameron Ashley, acknowledging the seamless transaction facilitated by both Pacific Avenue and Cameron Ashley. Cameron Ashley's President and CEO, Donny DeMarie, heralded the acquisition as a continuation of the customer service excellence and supplier relationships established by AIS's founder, Bill Brinser. Cameron Ashley, under Pacific Avenue's stewardship since 2018, has seen marked growth, adding 28 greenfield locations and making five add-on acquisitions over five years.

The acquisition is the latest in Cameron Ashley's expansion efforts, now boasting 61 distribution centers across the U.S. This consolidation forms part of a broader growth strategy, including opening new locations, enhancing the product suite, and pursuing accretive mergers and acquisitions. This move underscore Pacific Avenue's commitment to bolstering Cameron Ashley's market presence and service capabilities, further aiming to meet customer needs through diverse growth initiatives.
