Brian A. Kessler Appointed as ACOFP President for 2024-2025

The American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) has officially announced the commencement of Dr. Brian A. Kessler's term as president. Taking over during the 61st Annual Convention & Scientific Seminars in New Orleans, Dr. Kessler's appointment marks the beginning of a pivotal year for ACOFP, coinciding with the institution's 75th anniversary and the Family Medicine Forward campaign.

Dr. Kessler expressed gratitude for his new role, aiming to honor ACOFP's legacy while focusing on the future of osteopathic family medicine. With a significant membership of over 26,000 physicians, residents, and students, his leadership is poised to influence both ACOFP and the broader medical field significantly.

His impressive career spans multiple significant roles, including Dean of Campbell University Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine and positions at Lincoln Memorial University and Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital. Dr. Kessler’s accolades include being named to Best Doctors America by Cleveland Magazine and receiving several ACOFP awards for his contributions to the field.

Dr. Kessler's engagement with ACOFP dates back years with a participation on the Board of Governors since 2015 and securing a distinguished fellow designation, showcasing his longstanding commitment to the organization.
