Bogota and Cundinamarca Seek Investments at InnoTrans for Metro and Regiotram Projects

Invest in Bogotá, alongside Empresa Metro de Bogotá and the Government of Cundinamarca, will attend InnoTrans in Berlin, Germany. The event, prominent in transportation, infrastructure, and technology, offers a platform to attract investments for strengthening the Metro and Regiotram systems.

During the event, Invest in Bogotá aims to engage with rail operators, engineering consultants, technology developers, train and rolling stock manufacturers, and investors. The goal is to enhance the Metro system and the Regiotram of Bogotá - Region.

The participation is part of a State trade mission coordinated by the Ministry of Transportation and the National Infrastructure Agency. Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán has tasked the agency to seek investment in urban equipment and Metro stations, while Cundinamarca's Secretariat of Mobility targets investors for key railway projects, Regiotram del Norte and Regiotram de Occidente.

Isabella Muñoz, Executive Director of Invest in Bogotá, noted that their participation aligns with the development plans of Bogota and Cundinamarca to boost their railway systems and integrate them regionally. The agency seeks financing for the Metro extension, commercial partnerships, and advanced technology for future rail projects.
