BluSky Carbon Partners with Scotia BioChar in New Agreement

BluSky Carbon Inc., a clean technology company in the carbon removal sector, has announced a master services agreement with Scotia BioChar Inc. Scotia aims to produce high-quality biochar from waste wood biomass in Eastern Canada. The initial term of the agreement is one year. Under this agreement, Scotia can issue statements of work for manufacturing equipment or consulting services from BluSky.

Scotia BioChar, based in Bedford, Nova Scotia, plans to utilize BluSky's pyrolysis technology for applications including mine reclamation, contaminated site remediation, agriculture, and wastewater treatment. Liz MacKenzie, President of Scotia, emphasized the potential benefits for regional industries and the environment through this collaboration.

BluSky's CEO Will Hessert highlighted Scotia's diligence and knowledge in biochar production technologies and considered the partnership a significant step for Nova Scotia.
