Blue Elephant Energy GmbH Expands Solar Park Portfolio in Spain by 12 MWp

Blue Elephant Energy GmbH (BEE), based in Hamburg, has acquired an 11.7 MWp PV park from German project developer F&S solar concept in August 2023. The plant will be built by GOLDBECK SOLAR. Located near Binissalem, Mallorca, the park has been under construction since mid-December and is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2024.

Once operational, the plant is expected to generate around 18,000 MWh of electricity annually, supplying over 7,200 households with green energy and saving approximately 6,000 tonnes of CO2 each year. Chief Investment Officer Tim Kallas emphasized the project's contribution to reducing the island's reliance on fossil fuels.

Georg Schmiedel, Managing Director of F&S solar concept GmbH, highlighted the project's successful cooperation with local authorities, marking another chapter in their collaboration with BEE while supporting Mallorca's energy transition.
