Batelco and Qareeb Data Centers sign protocol at Gateway Gulf Forum

Batelco, a member of Beyon Group, formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qareeb Data Centers at the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum 2024 in Bahrain. The agreement, signed by executives Maitham Abdulla and Annemarie Van Zadelhoff, provides for the development of the first White Space data center in Bahrain.

The project is part of Beyon’s Data Oasis, which aims to become the largest technology hub in the kingdom. The two companies are considering creating colocation services and implementing data center initiatives in the region.

The partnership also explores the possibility of offering managed digital services. The collaboration aligns with Batelco and Qareeb’s strategies in response to the growing demand for digital infrastructure.
