Bastei Lübbe AG Reports Strong Growth in Q2 2025/2026

Bastei Lübbe AG has reported significant growth in the second quarter of the 2025/2026 financial year. The Cologne-based publishing group, listed in the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, achieved group revenues of EUR 57.0 million with a noteworthy EBIT margin of 10.4%. This growth was mainly driven by successful new releases from top-selling authors.

The company's digital business segment expanded, now accounting for 34% of total revenues, thanks to the robust performance of audio and e-book products. However, community-driven business models saw a decline, generating 28% of revenues, down from 42% the previous year.

Despite rising material costs and personnel expenses, Bastei Lübbe maintains its full-year forecast, expecting revenues between EUR 120-125 million and an EBIT of EUR 14.0-16.0 million. Upcoming releases from well-known authors are anticipated to sustain momentum.
