BankPozitif welcomes Turkey's exit from the gray list

Türkiye was removed from the gray list of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), where it had been since October 2021. This decision was taken during the FATF General Assembly in Singapore. Important players in the business world expressed their satisfaction, including the President of BankPozitif, Dr. Erkan Kork.

Dr Kork stressed that this decision is expected to accelerate foreign capital flows to Turkey. According to him, leaving the gray list removes obstacles to international investments. He anticipates an increase in investments and company acquisition-merger processes as well as an increased interest in Turkish lira (TL) assets on the stock markets.

Dr Kork also praised the reforms undertaken by Turkey to achieve this result. He expressed optimism about the future of the Turkish economy, especially with the expected drop in inflation in the second half.

He thanked Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for their constant efforts in economic management. Dr Kork hopes that this decision will be positively reflected in the next report from the Moody's rating agency.
