Avolta Expands Presence in Africa with New Duty-Free Store in Lagos

Avolta AG (SIX: AVOL), a leader in travel retail, inaugurated its new duty-free store at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, Nigeria. This new store, located in the airport's newly constructed Terminal 2, is a key addition to Avolta’s African footprint, enhancing its market presence with a range of global and local products.

The 400 m² walk-through store caters to international travelers and the Nigerian diaspora, offering food, liquor, tobacco, and the largest duty-free beauty selection in the country. The store features Self-Service Checkouts to improve shopping convenience. Avolta’s partnership with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) continues to introduce global brands to Nigeria.

This new venture complements Avolta's existing stores in Terminal 1 of the same airport and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. The expansion aligns with Nigeria's strategic plan to develop its airports and position the country as a premier destination and transit hub in Africa.
