Aurubis AG: Supervisory Board Appoints New CEO and COO
The Supervisory Board of Aurubis AG has announced the appointment of Dr. Toralf Haag as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective September 1, 2024. Dr. Haag, 58, brings extensive experience to his new role.
Tim Kurth, currently Managing Director of Aurubis Bulgaria and Plant Manager at the Pirdop site, has been appointed as the new Chief Operations Officer (COO) for custom smelting. Kurth, 56, will also assume his new position on September 1, 2024.
Inge Hofkens will continue her responsibilities as COO for multimetal recycling. The Executive Board will expand to four members on October 1, 2024, with Steffen Hoffmann taking over as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
The company's strategic direction and growth initiatives will remain unchanged, ensuring continued alignment and focus.
