AUMOVIO and BMW Settle Legal Dispute, Adjust Financial Forecasts
AUMOVIO SE and BMW have reached a settlement over a past warranty case related to an integrated brake system. The settlement, which also involved Continental Aktiengesellschaft and AUMOVIO Germany GmbH, ends all related legal claims. In addition to resolving the dispute, AUMOVIO and BMW have agreed to deepen their business partnership, including new contracts worth over €1 billion.
AUMOVIO Germany GmbH will pay BMW €350 million in two installments by year-end 2026. This will impact AUMOVIO's Q2 2026 earnings, with adjusted sales of €4,244 million and an EBIT margin of 1.2%. The normalized Free Cash Flow remains at €-34 million.
Revised forecasts for 2026 put adjusted EBIT margins between 3.0%-4.0% and sales between €17.0 billion and €17.5 billion, slightly down from previous estimates.
