AT&S Reports Steady Revenue but Faces Challenges in Profitability
AT&S Austria Technologie & Systemtechnik AG reported a revenue of €451 million for Q2 2024/25, reflecting a 29% increase from Q1 2024/25 and maintaining a similar level to Q2 2023/24. Despite the stable revenue, AT&S faces significant price pressure and weakness in European automotive and industrial markets. CFO Petra Preining acknowledged the impact of these challenges, expecting the year's revenue and adjusted EBITDA to remain consistent with the previous year.
In the first half of 2024/25, consolidated revenue stood at €800 million, slightly down from €814 million the previous year. EBITDA dropped by 27% due to price pressures and start-up costs in Malaysia and Austria. Adjusted EBITDA declined by 10%. The company is undertaking efficiency programs to offset these pressures.
The outlook for fiscal year 2024/25 has been adjusted, with anticipated revenue between €1.5-1.6 billion. AT&S aims to improve efficiency and execute cost-cutting, including reducing the workforce by up to 1,000 employees.
