Asia Green Biotechnology Corp. Faces Delay in Annual Financial Report Filings

Asia Green Biotechnology Corp. announced expected delays in filing its annual financial statements and accompanying documents for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2023. The company identified disruptions related to an investigation into the practices of their former auditor as the primary cause of the delay. Consequently, the audited financial statements, management discussion and analysis, and CEO and CFO certifications will not meet the scheduled filing deadline of April 29, 2024.

In response to the delay, Asia Green has engaged new auditors to complete the filings, which are now expected within 30 to 60 days post the original deadline. The company has also proactively applied for a Management Cease Trade Order from the Alberta Securities Commission to prevent insider trading during this period. This order, still pending approval, will remain effective until the required documents are filed.

Asia Green confirms there have been no significant business developments since its last interim financial report in September 2023, except for those previously reported. The company remains compliant with insider trading regulations and will follow alternative information guidelines until the documents are officially filed.
