Arverne Group explores geothermal potential in Auvergne

Arverne Group announces that its subsidiary 2gré has conducted its first 3D exploration campaign of the subsoil in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. This initiative aims to deepen the geological knowledge of the region, notable for its geothermal potential. Conducted between mid-November and mid-December, the operation covered 100 km² of the "Riom-Clermont Métropole" Exploration Permit, thanks to 12,000 acoustic sensors. Data analysis should identify geothermal water reservoirs, essential for developing decarbonized heat projects.

Upstream, Arverne organized open days to inform local residents. Pierre Brossollet, CEO of the group, emphasizes that this campaign is a key step for the development of geothermal heat in Auvergne.
