Alzchem Group AG Achieves Significant EBITDA Growth in 2024

Alzchem Group AG has announced impressive financial results for the first nine months of 2024, showing a 36.4% increase in EBITDA, reaching EUR 76.8 million. This performance reflects a higher EBITDA margin of 18.5%, compared to 14.2% the previous year. This growth was driven by both the specialty chemicals and Basics & Intermediates segments, the latter achieving a 6.8% EBITDA increase.

Group sales rose to EUR 415.2 million, marking a 4.4% increase from the previous year. The specialty chemicals segment recorded a remarkable 13.4% rise in sales, counterbalancing a 10.5% decline in the Basics & Intermediates segment. The company also saw its consolidated result soar by 65.6% to EUR 39.1 million.

Alzchem attributes this success to its focus on higher-margin specialty chemicals and effective working capital management. CEO Andreas Niedermaier emphasized their progress towards sustainable corporate governance and projected continued growth in 2024, with sales expected to reach around EUR 570 million.
