AELF Acquires 737-800 to Expand Narrowbody Fleet

Aircraft Engine Lease Finance, Inc. (AELF), a U.S.-based lessor, has officially added a Boeing 737-8AL, serial number 37960, to its growing fleet, following a purchase from Saroja Aviation, Limited. The move is part of AELF's strategic expansion into the 737-800 market, a step that diversifies its portfolio and leverages current market opportunities.

Joe Cirillo, Head of Global Marketing for AELF, expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition, highlighting the company’s ambition to deepen its footprint in the narrowbody aircraft sector. The company aims to capitalize on its expertise and agility in the leasing market, focusing on building a robust fleet of leased narrowbody aircraft, particularly the 737-800s.

AELF, initially based in Puerto Rico, relocated its operations to the U.S. in 2021, and now has offices in Chicago and Miami. This acquisition is part of its broader strategy to invest in the narrowbody market, signaling AELF's commitment to growing its operational capabilities and market presence.
