ADS-TEC Energy's Charging Solutions Expand in the Netherlands Through Joint Venture

ADS-TEC Energy GmbH's rapid charging stations will be installed in various locations across the Dutch provinces of Noord-Holland, Utrecht, and Flevoland, following NXT 50five's win in the MRA-Electric tender. This marks a significant step in the joint effort by municipalities to establish a broad network for electric vehicle (EV) charging. The initiative stands out for integrating battery-buffered rapid charging stations capable of functioning amidst network congestion, a common issue in the target area.

NXT 50five, a collaborative project between 50five and NXT Mobility under the GP Groot umbrella, is set to manage the installment and operation of these charging points at up to 600 targeted locations. This development demonstrates not only the practicality and efficiency of ADS-TEC Energy's technology but also its pivotal role in fostering sustainable mobility despite grid limitations.

The company's advanced battery-buffered solutions are deemed essential for areas plagued by network congestion, promising to alleviate the growing demand for EV charging infrastructure. NXT 50five, along with Shell and TotalEnergies, has been entrusted to equip up to 200 sites over four years, with preparations for the first nine stations already underway.

ADS-TEC Energy's CEO, Thomas Speidel, hailed the tender win as a testament to their product's allure and its capacity to expedite the deployment of rapid charging infrastructure. The joint venture's operations are expected to make significant strides towards achieving a sustainable mobility transition in the Netherlands.
