Accelleron Expands Investment in Italian Injection Systems

Accelleron Industries AG is enhancing its focus on growth in injection systems with significant investments in Italy through its subsidiary OMT. This initiative is pivotal for decarbonizing the maritime industry. The company plans to double its revenue from injection systems to USD 150 million by 2029 with total planned investments of USD 80 million.

OMT, acquired by Accelleron in 2023, emphasizes expansion at its Turin facility by increasing capacity and investing in new machinery, expecting to hire 150 new employees in three years. Additionally, a new technology center will be established in Turin by mid-2026, supporting R&D efforts in new fuels.

The acquisition of OMC2 in Brescia adds to production capacity, targeting a threefold increase by 2029. This comprehensive strategy positions Accelleron to meet the rising demand for dual fuel systems amid the sector's push for decarbonization.
