Clearvise AG Expands Portfolio with 18.6 MW Weilrod 2 Wind Farm Acquisition

clearvise AG, an independent power producer specializing in renewable energies, has acquired the 18.6 MW Weilrod 2 wind farm in Germany, expanding its IPP portfolio to over 400 MW. The farm, currently under construction, will boost clearvise's renewable footprint with its commissioning slated for September 2025. The acquisition highlights ongoing collaboration with developer ABO Energy, which has ensured environmental studies to minimize ecological impact using deforested pest areas.

Located near the existing Weilrod 1 wind farm, the new installation will feature three Vestas V162 turbines, approximating an annual electricity generation of over 53 GWh. Secure electricity purchase is guaranteed through a 20-year EEG feed-in tariff. This strategic development strengthens clearvise's influence in the German renewable market.

Clearvise CEO Petra Leue-Bahns emphasized the significance of this project in boosting the portfolio's CO2-free capacity. ABO Energy's Dr. Thomas Treiling echoed the importance of long-term partnerships, highlighting cooperation with local entities. As part of achieving climate-friendly energy goals, clearvise continues to prioritize strategic expansion ventures.
