Aareal Bank CFO Marc Hess to Depart at Contract End

Aareal Bank AG announced that Marc Hess, the Chief Financial Officer, will leave the company at the end of his contract in December 2024. This decision was made in agreement with the Supervisory Board, ensuring a strategic transition at the management level.

Jean Pierre Mustier, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, commended Hess for his significant contributions, particularly in navigating the bank through challenging times and positioning it robustly in capital markets. Hess, who joined Aareal Bank AG as CFO in October 2018, played a pivotal role in revising the Aareal Next Level strategy in 2020, which significantly enhanced the bank's operating performance.

The search for a successor is currently underway by the Supervisory Board, with a commitment to maintaining leadership stability and ensuring a smooth handover. Marc Hess will continue his duties until a new CFO assumes the role.
