2024 China Huangshan Book Fair Opens in Hefei, Marking Several 'Firsts'

The 2024 China Huangshan Book Fair has begun in Hefei, Anhui Province, on November 15. The event emphasizes thematic development, internationalization, digitalization, and lifestyle integration. It features a variety of cultural activities, such as themed exhibitions, publication sales, industry forums, and cultural livestreams.

This year, the fair includes one main venue, 200 offline sub-venues, 40 online sub-venues, and a virtual exhibition hall. Nearly 300 organizations are participating, presenting over 300,000 publications. A sub-venue in Huangshan City offers writer-sharing events and exhibitions of premium books and cultural products.

For the first time, an International Publishing Pavilion is featured, involving 24 overseas Chinese bookstores. The fair also sees the introduction of renowned cross-border e-commerce enterprises and innovative product offerings from independent bookstores and technology companies.

Another novelty is the "specialized marketplace" format that combines books with diverse products, providing an engaging shopping street experience.
